PaymiruPrivacy Policy
Paymiru ("we", "us") makes the Paymiru iOS app, a paycheck planner and guide to cash advance apps. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. Short version: your budget stays on your phone, we don't connect to your bank, and we never sell your data.
Data that stays on your device
Your pay schedule, balance, bills, spending entries, buffer and streak are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Email address (optional)
If you choose to give us your email, we use it to send you your payday plan and, only if you tick the box, money tips and offers about financial products. Your email is stored with OneSignal, our messaging provider, which processes it on our behalf. You can unsubscribe from any email with one tap, or remove your email in the app under Settings. Giving your email is never required to use the app.
Notifications
Payday, bill and check-in reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. If you allow notifications, we also use OneSignal to send push notifications such as payday tips. For this, OneSignal receives a push token and device identifier, basic app usage (for example, when the app was last opened and whether a notification was opened) and a few settings from the app: your next payday date, your pay schedule, whether your bills exceed your balance before payday, and your email preference. Your balance, bills and spending amounts are never sent. You can turn notifications off anytime in iOS Settings.
Links to other apps and websites
Paymiru shows information about third-party cash advance apps and can open their websites. We don't send them any of your data. When you visit their sites, their own privacy policies apply. If we earn a commission from a provider in the future, we will say so in the app; it will never affect the Paymiru score.
Service providers
We use OneSignal, Inc. to deliver push notifications and emails. OneSignal processes data only to provide this service to us. See OneSignal's privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't connect to your bank account, collect your Social Security number, check your credit, track you across other companies' apps or websites, or sell or rent personal information.
Children
Paymiru is intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
You can ask us to access or delete your email address and the notification data we hold for you by writing to support@paymiru.com. California residents have the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we don't sell or share it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email.
